FCEA is a union for Fayette County educators. We're the local affiliate of KEA, the 44,000 member, 168 year old KY teachers union, and NEA, the largest labor union in America. We work to ensure all educators have a stronger voice. We regularly advocate for higher salaries & improved working conditions, meet with lawmakers from both parties to make sure our voices are heard, and work hand-in-hand with district leaders to improve the daily lives of educators. Each member makes us stronger!

FCEA is a member-led democracy and we elect our leadership team. This is important because it's how you give members a voice within their association. In FCEA, our members hold the power and they make the decisions. This empowers YOU! We are your option for both a democracy and for leadership opportunities on a local, state, and national level.

Liability insurance provides important on-the-job protection, which is why we provide a great liability policy, but this alone is not enough! It does NOT cover legal assistance and will NOT help in any of these situations:
Suspensions without pay, accusations of sexual misconduct or other violations of board policy, challenges to your certification, allegations of testing misconduct, termination, job lay-offs, demotions, disputes over leaves of absence, disputes over salary or retirement, Social Services investigations, performance evaluation issues, abuses of your employment rights, unfair or unsafe working conditions, etc.
